Mmmm. Gruel. Perfect lunch or breakfast for hungry, non-fussy people.
Actually it’s not that bad. You can take away the sludginess with a touch of vinegar.
Grab some of the beans or peas ready in your fridge or a can…
Add the beans, chopped veggie (broccoli and/or carrot are perfect) and some cooked rice in a pot with water. Use vegetarian stock too if you have some.
Boil for a few minutes for a superquick meal, or simmer longer for a smoother, tastier brew.
Season with soy or salt and olive or sesame oil
