Going vegetarian is easy… but Whirled Peas is making it easier.
I always hear questions like “what do you eat” and comments like “it’s too hard”. It’s not for me and it shouldn’t be for you either. So this blog documents what I feed myself, as a person who just wants enough healthy and tasty stuff to eat but doesn’t care enough to spend time on it.
So here you’ll find quick and easy vegetarian and vegan meals to save you time, stress, and help you and your friends and family get healthier and happier than ever.
(I’ve since run out of food ideas so I now write a lot of other stuff here as well, but you’ll find all the old posts under ‘veggie kitchen’ up the top, and the occasional new one too no doubt.)

Building a website isn’t astrophysics anymore, thanks to:
Engine
- The Wordpress Team. Wordpress is the blog engine of my choice. Always has, always will be. That could be just because I’m too lazy to learn other engines, but I’m told by others it really is the best. Thanks Guys!
Design
- This blog uses a personalised version of the K2 theme.
Plugins
- Mighty Seek. See those fancy play buttons on the podcast posts? Thanks to the guys at Mighty Seek for the Podpress plugin. Bellisimo
Podcast Powered by podPress (v8.8) - Finding spamming my blog a furstrating experience? You might want to have words with Matt Mullenweg who maintains the Askimet plugin.
- Feedburner Feedsmith by Steve Smith and Feedburner is a helpful plugin when it comes to making sure the feed links from your site are organized properly.
- Google Sitemaps XML is great for informing search engine about your site. By Arne Brachhold.
- And finally, I know how many of you have read this page thanks to Wordpress.com Stats, by Andy Skelton. Thanks mate.
- Custom String Query is good for calling different numbers of posts on different pages, for example my one-post index and infinite post archives. Andy Beard
Inspiration & Help
- Daniel Scocco, who escaped the world of the MNC to set up the hit web development blog Daily Blog Tips. Basically, although I have run a few hobby blogs previously, I found all of David’s advice great for streamlining this site’s design, content and appearance. Very inspiring information there, if you’re a blogger, you must read it.
- Maki Maki over at Dosh Dosh also has really useful posts although most of the time it’s right over my head
